A Partnership in Pursuit of Equity & Inclusion

Announcing a partnership between THE BURNS BROTHERS and LIONPOINT COACHING

The Burns Brothers and LionPoint Coaching have created a strategic alliance to provide coaching and development services to executives who are growing early-stage companies and already recognize and embrace the power of diversity, equity, and inclusion as foundational elements for shaping, solidifying, and scaling organizational culture and growth.
From our press release

In this past year, we have all seen that more action needs to be taken to create a more just and equitable world, especially in for-profit businesses. I am humbled by this partnership with The Burns Brothers and ready to join in the incredible work they are doing to promote cultures of diversity and inclusion for their clients.

I have been fortunate to know Mike Burns for over two decades. He and I were classmates at West Point, roommates in flight school, and served alongside one another in the same unit in Iraq and Afghanistan as officers and pilots. Our post-military careers have several areas of commonality, also. Combined, we have over 40-years of experience working with and in small and large organizations alike across senior leader roles.

Mike has led diversity focused change in organizations like Citigroup, Conduent Inc., and the United States Military Academy at West Point. Mike and his brother, John, founded The Burns Brothers, a multi-disciplinary agency that offers a full suite of consulting services focused on creating cultures centered on achieving organizational goals through diversity and inclusion. Our firms were founded to serve and support leaders and their teams as they pursue ambitious goals and stride towards their unique potential.

This endeavor unites The Burns Brothers and LionPoint Coaching in a common purpose: to train and coach executives with the goal of enhancing their ability to understand and empower their employees who represent traditionally marginalized classes.

Features of the partner program include:

  • Defining and aligning desired culture, values, and behaviors

  • One-to-one executive coaching and experiential learning

  • Training that enhances cultural understanding, awareness, and effective integration

In Mike’s words, “We are forming a strategic alliance to capitalize on our respective areas of expertise and collective purpose. Our shared goal is to foster an environment that breeds opportunity for people of color.”

I believe that as leaders, our most important job is creating a holistic context that responds to the evolving needs of our teams and customers, and empowers all members of the team to operate at their highest point of contribution. This joint offering will allow us to engage executives in meaningful dialogues about the importance of embracing culture, diversity, and equity to achieve sustainable and market-leading organizational growth.
